These comments are currently locked Robin and I thought about changing the pronunciation when we moved to Kent, so every one would know us as MAR tone fee, However, I like Mar TONE fee better, but I thought the former was the correct way. It would be nice to change to Martin, but then I would be Steve Martin and I would not get used to the jokes of me being a wild and crazy guy, etc. One other option, is Steve Marton, or Steve Martone. Although, I guess I should just go with what everyone else thinks my name is; martinofsky. May the most confusing thing about your day be your name. Steve Steve Monday, October 31, 2005 10:34 AM I can really relate to this Mike, I've had the problem 19 years longer than you. Oy vey! When I was younger I wanted to change it to Martin too and 'gramma almost popped a fuse, but I've come to appreciate the name. It is unique. It is original. If I were to see 'Mike Martonfi' in the newspaper, or hear it on the news, I would think, "Chances are 1 in 7 billion that it's our Mikey!" Please do not get lost in the crowd of Martins!
